Ingredients

· 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
· 1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow fluff
· ⅔ cup creamy peanut butter
· 1 (10-12 oz) bag milk chocolate chips


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pan

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on two sides. This will make it easy to lift the bars out later.

Step 2: Make the Nougat Layer

  1. In a large, microwave-safe bowl, combine the marshmallow fluff and creamy peanut butter.
  2. Heat in the microwave on high for 30-45 seconds. Stir until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined.
  3. Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the bowl. Gently fold and stir until all the cereal is evenly coated in the marshmallow-peanut butter mixture.

Step 3: Press and Chill

  1. Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking dish. Use the back of a spoon or a piece of parchment paper to press it down firmly and evenly.
  2. Place the pan in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Step 4: Add the Chocolate Coating

  1. Pour the chocolate chips into a medium, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring well after each, until the chocolate is completely smooth and melted.
  2. Remove the chilled bar slab from the pan using the parchment paper overhang and place it on a cutting board.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate over the top and use an offset spatula or the back of a spoon to spread it into an even layer, covering the entire surface.

Step 5: Set and Slice

  1. Return the bar to the refrigerator for another 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully set.
  2. Once set, use a sharp knife to slice it into bars. For clean cuts, you can wipe the knife with a hot, damp cloth between slices.
